They can provide two effective writing wavelengths, 193nm and 248nm, and have high single-pulse energy, allowing writing on fiber gratings with weaker photosensitivity and enabling online fabrication of fiber Bragg gratings.
Currently, the main grating fabrication methods include: excimer laser interference, single-pulse writing of fiber Bragg gratings, and the phase mask method.
